Heather Scott – Executive Assistant & Office Administration
An avid community volunteer and a proud city nerd; prior to joining #TeamCumberland, Heather worked in the not-for-profit sector in healthcare improvement. A novice gardener, feminist, proud mom of two and Star Trek geek, Heather has a passion for continuous systems improvement.
Heather manages schedules, handles office administration, triages case work and keeps #TeamCumberland organized.
She is a great first point of contact for our office.
Rachel Putnins – Case Work & Communications
A recent graduate from the University of Ottawa, Rachel has a focused background in Canadian Political Science and Economics. Rachel’s previous experience includes working for the Library of Parliament on the public education and tourism team.
Rachel is passionate about municipal affairs and couldn’t be prouder to support a champion of women in politics.
As Casework coordinator, Rachel handles resident concerns, specifically relating to traffic, road conditions, greenspace, COVID-19 relief, and more.
Filip Trandafilovski – Case Work & Communications
A new journey in municipal politics begins. Prior to joining #TeamCumberland, Filip worked on Parliament Hill — as both an administrative and legislative assistant to Members of Parliament in Ontario and Québec. Filip speaks multiple languages, including: French, Serbian and Russian. In his spare time, he works as a cartoonist and loves to travel.
Filip is one of the caseworkers, assisting residents with their everyday needs. He also handles #TeamCumberland’s social media channels and graphic design.
Véronique Bergeron – Planning & Policy
Véronique lived in (and around) Cumberland for 15 years and currently lives with her family in Stittsville. She enjoys cycling, playing guitar, and taking deep dives into how cities work and how to make them better.
She brings a range of experience in law, government, and communications to #TeamCumberland, advising Councillor Kitts on policy, planning files, and committee work at City Hall, all in the spirit of public service.
She holds a Master's of Law with a Specialization in Biomedical Ethics from McGill University.
